These are not inverse functions.
If they were inverse functions then if f(x) = y then g(y) = x
or g(f(x)) = x
In this case g(4x +24) = 1/4(4x + 24) + 6 = x + 6 + 6 = x + 12
x + 12 does not equal x so not inverse functions

f(x) = 4x + 24
x = 4f-1(x) + 24
x - 24 = 4f-1(x)
(x / 4) - 6 = f-1(x)

These two functions are not inverses of each other. If they were then if f(x) = y then g(y) would = x or g(f(x)) would = x... g(4x +24) = 1/4(4x+24) + 6 = x + 6 + 6 = x + 12 so g(f(x)) = x + 12 not x ... proof of not inverse functions... Numerical example f(2) = 4(2) + 24 = 32 g(32) = 1/4(32) + 6 = 1411/03/20
