they're symmetrical about the 45 degree line or x=y,
if the square root function and quadratic functions have origin as the vertex
such as y=x^2 and x=y^2
or maybe you meant by square root function as just half of the x=y^2 quadratic?
y=x^2 and y=+sqrx? to make them symmetric make the inverse y=+ or - sqrx
or if you start with y=+sqrx make the inverse y=x^2 but restrict the domain to x>0
(assuming the vertex is the origin)
