Two planes, which are 1,648 miles apart, fly each other. Their speeds differ by 64 miles per hour. Plane 1 is slower than Plane 2. They passed each other after 4 hours. Find the speed of Plane 1.

x + x +64 = 2x +64 times 4 = 1648 = distance = speed times time

8x + 256 = 1648

8x = 1398

x = 174.75 mph for slower plane
