How do I solve this?

Question

I used up 2/3 a bag of beads to make 5/8 of the bracelets I need. Assuming all of the bracelets take the same number of beads, how many bags do I need to make all of the bracelets? How many bracelets can I make with one bag? Solve and explain all of your reasoning/steps.

Using fraction division

(2 / 3) / (5 / 8)

(2 / 3)(8 / 5)

16 / 15 or 1 and 1 / 15 bag

To get a complete bag you need 1 / 3 of a bag. That is one-half of the 2 /3 that you already had.

Therefore the additional 1 / 3 bag can make another 29 bracelets.
