Let's look at what is being said. A product of two numbers is the multiplication of two numbers, so we know we have 5 * something
A number increased by nine is saying add nine to a number. Because this number is unknown, let's call it x and write (x + 9)
Piece this together and you will have 5 * (x + 9)
We know this is equal to 29, so the last piece is to say: 5 * (x + 9) = 29
