I just need clarification.

Question

Is it just asking me to subtract 4 from 16, as in 16-4?

16 is 4 less than?

Also 16+6?

16 is 6 more than?

Hi Kathy,

They are first asking you to actually add 16+4, since the question asks which number 16 is 4 numbers less than. When you add 16+4, you get 20. 20-4=16, so there's your answer there.

Actually, 16-6 is the correct reiteration for "16 is 6 more than...(what number)?" Since 16-6=10, 16 is therefore 6 numbers more than the number 10.
