H=-16t²+40t+5 .. at 1.25 seconds , the snowball reaches the peak of its trajectory. How high did Jill throw the snowball? Then how high was the snowball just before it left jill’s hand? Last figure out how long did the snowball fly through the air before striking the ground(when would h=0ft?)

Maximum height occurs at the vertex of H(t). The time to reach the vertex was given as 1.25 sec. Evaluate H(t) at t=1.25 and get maximum height in feet.

The ball left the hand at t=0. Evaluate H(0) and see that it is 5 feet.

Set H(t)=0 and solve for t using the quadratic formula. You will get a negative and a positive solution. Since t starts at t=0, only the positive solution is correct.
