asked • 05/23/20Let f ( x ) = − 1.1 sin ( x ) + 3.4 cos ( x ) . What is the maximum and minimum value of this function?
For this question, i need to figure it out using trigonometry.

I put this formula into my calc. The smallest is 90°=-1.1
largest is at 0°=3.4

Likewise, the min is less than -1.1.

You gave me the formula above. One thing I've got to mention: I didn't go far enough around the circle. I should of went to 180 deg (2nd quad). This makes the degrees from 0 to 180 which = 3.4 to -3.4.
