Note that
-5y = -2y -3y
Therefore,
y2 - 5y + 6 = y2 - 2y - 3y + 6 = (y2 - 2y) + (- 3y + 6)
Brian P.
asked 05/08/20y^2 - 5y +6
I understand that this would result in factoring of (x-3)(x-2)
My question is how to break this expression into groups and arrive at: (y^2-2y)+(-3y+6) ???
Any help is deeply appreciated.
Thanks,
Brian
