First, find the slope m.
m = (y2 - y1)/(x2 - x1)
x1 = 6
y1 = -9
x2 = 0
y2 = 2
Plug in the numbers and get m. Once you know m and one point, you can write the equation in point slope form:
y - y1 = m(x - x1)
You can also use
y - y2 = m(x - x2)
Both equations describe the same line in point slope form.
