The difference between a vertical and horizontal line is whether it is in the form "x=" or "y="
For x=a there will be a VERTICAL line at the x-coordinate of "a"
For y=b there will be a HORIZONTAL line at the y-coordinate of "b"
Think of this as two opposites. The x is actually vertical and the y is actually horizontal.
Fun fact when either x or y are set equal to zero, you will graph the vertical and horizontal axis of a coordinate plane.
Can you figure out which one is the X-axis and which one is the Y-axis? ;)
