Let's assume that your cell phone plan is $29.99 for EACH 200 minutes each month.


Start by finding out how much it costs per minute by dividing the cost of the plan by the initial 200 minutes : $29.99 ÷ 200 = .14995


Next find out how many minutes were used by dividing the total cost of the bill by the cost per minute: $40.79 ÷ .14995 = Number of Minutes
