I believe the question you're asking is "what two numbers sum to nine while their difference is three" and I will answer that question. I'm not sure exactly what your question means as written.
Say we have two numbers, call them A and B. We know that A+B = 9 and A-B = 3.
Now, imagine those numbers represent two sticks. Placing the two sticks end to end makes them 9 feet long. Placing them side by side, one will be 3 feet longer than the other.
Let's call A the "long stick" and B the "short stick"
We're going to break the long stick into two parts. A 3 foot section, and a section that's exactly the same length as the short stick.
Now we have 3 sticks, one 3 ft, and two are "B" feet long. But we didn't destroy or add any sticks. So, the total length of all the sticks added end to end is still 9 feet.
Hopefully it is clear that then all 3 sticks left must be 3 feet long.
So, one stick was initially 3 feet and the other was 6 feet long.
Back in numeric terms, the two numbers whose sum is 9 and whose difference is 3 are the numbers:
6 and 3.
