Sure. the question says "Aiden sold 12 more tickets than Ethan." So we can say x = how many tickets Ethan sold and x + 12 = how many tickets Aiden sold, since it's 12 more than Ethan. Together they sold 54 tickets, so Ethan + Aiden = 54. So we know if we add x and x + 12, then the total is 54. So we have our equation x + x + 12 = 54. We can simplify it to 2x + 12 = 54. Subtract 12 from both sides, we get 2x = 42. Then divide by 2 and x = 21. The question isn't asking for x though, it's asking how many tickets Aiden sold. If we go back to the beginning, we said Aiden sold x + 12 so 21 + 12 = 33
