If the perimeter is 30 inches, that means the length of 4 sides added together is 30. If it is a rectangle and one side is 6, there is another side that is 6. So these 2 sides are 12 inches.
What do we have left?
30 - 12 = 18 The remaining 2 sides are 18 inches.
18/2 sides = 9 inches
Check: 6+6+9+9 = 30
