Under well established Federal Law, tips belong to the employee. So, in short, your boss is prohibited by law from confiscating your tips. Your boss may be engaged in a form of wage theft.
And owners, managers, and supervisors are prohibited from sharing in tips earned by workers.
I don't know what state you live in, but in some cases, California for example, the regulations protecting workers' tips are stronger than Federal Law.
Some states allow tip pooling, sharing tips fairly among workers who earned the tip (waiter, busboy, etc.).
You should contact a lawyer in your state immediately to discuss your legal rights that could include filing an administrative complaint with the U.S. Department of Labor or state analog, or filing a civil lawsuit.
