2.) Sally Leadfoot was pulled over on her way from Syracuse to Ithaca by an officer claiming she was speeding. The speed limit os 65 mi/hr and Sally had traveled 97 km in 102 minutes. How fast was Sally's average speed? Does she deserve a ticket?

Sally's rate (speed) was
97 km
-----------
102 min
Convert km to miles and minutes to hours. There are .62 miles in a kilometer, and 60 minutes in an hour.
97 km .62 mi 60 min
----------- * --------- * ----------
102 min km hour
This leaves the units in miles per hour, and the result is 35.37. So Sally was not speeding.
