Hi Clarissa,
lim ( 5/2)^n n--> ∞
Be care full, for finding limit of exponential function the base and ± ∞ are very important.
In this case base is 5/2 that it is greater than 1 and n goes to ∞ as result the answer is ∞
it means does not exit.
=========================
if n goes to the -∞ what happens????
lim (5/2)^n = (5/2)^-∞ = (2/5) ^-(-∞) = (2/5) ^∞ that answer is ZERO because the base is less than 1. overall,any number less than 1 to the power ∞ is ZERO
============================================
you need to know 4 forms when number to the power ±∞
Let me know, if you need to know more .
I hope it is useful
