Your true grade is the weighted average
GPA's are calculated by a weighted average
You get an A and B in courses which were 4 credits and 2 credits. A=4.0, B=3.0
a simple unweighted average is 3.5, but your true GPA is 4(4) +3(2) all divided by 6 = 22/6 = 3.67
The A counted more than the B, so it needs to be weighted twice as much.
