It's pretty easy to see that 8/2 = 4 so the goal is to make the numbers to the left of 8 equal to 1 and then 1*8 will be 8 and dividing by 2 will get 4.
I see that 5 + 4 is 9 and I see that 5 + 3 is 8 and if we subtract 8 from 9 we get 1 so how about this:
[5 + 4 - (5 + 3)]*8/2
