In order to solve this problem you need to calculate 1/3 of 5/8. To do this you need to multiply the two fractions.
You multiply fractions by multiplying numerator by numerator, and denominator by denominator, then reducing.
For example if I were multiplying 9/10 by 2/3 I would multiply numerators 9 and 2 to get 18, and denominators 10 and 3 to get 30. My answer before reducing would be 18/30, which can then be reduced to 3/5.
I hope this helps.
