Hi, John. A lot of things may have gone wrong, potentially, but let's hope it's something we can correct easily.
- Did you take precautions for electrostatic discharge? Static electricity can damage any of the components you mentioned. It's a good idea to use a grounding wrist strap, connected to the ground plug of an AC electric outlet, or to plumbing.
- Are your processor and RAM compatible with your motherboard? What are the model numbers of all three?
- It's possible that any of these parts was defective. If you bought them all from the same place, it may be easier to get one or more of them replaced under warranty. From where did you buy them?
If I were you, I might return all of them and buy new ones. Odds are that the new ones would work, assuming their specs are compatible.
