Tamia, did you intend to denigrate Common Core or this question in particular? The only thing I would criticize about it is the English. It says that “both” teachers “have 30 students in their classes.” That’s pretty impossible to sort out. They might each have 30 students in their classes (2 classes of 30) or both have 30 students in one shared class. Because the misuse of both is so common, I think it’s safe to take it to mean there are two classes, but it certainly doesn’t help students to know better.
