Standard form for an equation is:
ax+by=c -- where a,b, and c are all constants
1) distribute the -2 to get:
y-4=-2x+6
2) add '2x' to both sides to get:
y-4+2x=6
3) add four to both sides
y+2x=6+4
simplify
y+2x=10
and we have the equation in standard form
