Chad is 4 years older than Tiana. In 3 years the sum of their ages will be 52. How old is Chad now?

Let x = Tiana's age now. Then x + 4 = Chad's age now

So, x + 3 = Tiana's age in 3 years and x + 7 = Chad's age in 3 years

Therefore, (x + 3) + (x + 7) = 52

2x + 10 = 52

2x = 42

x = 21

Tiana is 21 and Chad is 25.

We can start by find out the age of C and T in the next three years:

We can use substitution method to find the age of C & T:

C + T = 52

C + (C + 4) = 52

2C + 4 =52

If in three years Chad will be 24 years old, then his age now is:
