To find out how much of the lasagne has been eaten, you have to find the least common denominator (LCD) for the three fractions. The LCD of 1/3, 1/4, and 1/5 is 60 (3x4x5). Now convert all the fractions so that all of their denominators is equal to 60 (1/3=20/60, 1/4=15/60, 1/5=12/60), then add all of the fractions together (20/60 + 15/60 + 12/60 = 47/60). 47/60 of the lasagne has been eaten and the remaining lasagne is 13/60 (1-47/60=60/60-47/60).
