Divide this problem, simply it. I am confused by how to complete this problem and I need some help with it.

(3x^2-2x-13)/(x-2)

3x +4 with remainder of -5 = (3x^2 -2x-13)/(x-1)

use synthetic or long division

here's long division

3x+ 4 remainder -5

x-2 | 3x^2 -2x -13

3x -4x

x -8

-5

-12

quotient = 3x+4 with remainder = -5

or = 3x+4 -5/(x-2)

long division for algebra is very similar to arithmetic long division, only you have a letter instead of all numbers
