Why is my audio speaker's 2-earth line not connected or even not connected to the PCB earth at all?

The ground of a speaker has to be 0 or as close as possible to 0 otherwise the sound coming out of the speaker won’t be as clear. So if it shared the ground with the pcb it might pick up some noise and lower your sound quality
