If each ticket is $9 the amount of money made from tickets is the number of tickets sold (lets call this t) multiplied by 9. So the amount of money from tickets is 9t.
Profit = 9t
But remember that you have to subtract the cost of the TV because that isn't part of your profit.
Profit = 9t - 450
If the ticket sales equaled the cost of the prize then 9t = 450, solve for t!
