The way I read the question is to find x such that x - 6 > 10.
Add 6 to both sides of the inequality, x - 6 + 6 > 10 + 6
This results in x > 16.
As long as x is larger than 16, e.g. 16.00001, 16.9, 2000, etc, then any value 6 less than x will always be more than 10.
