x-2y<3, solve for y
x-2y+2y-3<3+2y-3
<=> x-3<2y
<=> y>0.5x -1.5
Now you draw the graph of y=0.5x-1.5 ignoring the inequality
pick any point on any one of the two sides of the graph and test to see if it satisfies the inequality
I pick (0,0) because it is easy to work with. Just put o where you see x and y and test
0>0.5*0-1.5
<=> 0>-1.5 because zero is greater than -1.5 the side that contains the origin (0,0) is the solution
