2 feet of fabric is equal to 1 + 1 which is equal to 4/4 + 4/4 = 8/4 feet

If there are 8 squares in 1 scarf and 8 squares in 1 large piece of fabric, than 1 large piece of fabric is equal to 1 scarf.
