How do I write a relevant CV for submitting a manuscript to a literary agent?
I am submitting a children's book to a potential agent whose submission process asks me to send this:
>a covering letter in the body of the email, and a synopsis of the proposed book with the first two or three chapters and a CV
Now. I haven't had a writing career. I've had an IT career ... surely they don't want to hear much about that? So what should I put in the CV, that won't be in the cover letter?

You definitely will need your cover letter. If you have only done IT work then you need to offer in your resume, how writing in your field has helped your employer. You may also add a testimonial letter from your employer, or those that you have helped in your career. Use quote passages for those testimonials, and be certain that you get permission to use those quotes. Keep it simple; however as best as you can referring to your writing capabilities.05/23/19
