The way to solve is plug in the coordinates for each multiple choice and see if it's true.
y<-x+7
y<3x+11
Try (a) 5,5, remember the first term is x and the secondy is y.
5<-(5)+7. 5<2. This is false, so you can go to the next one.
Try (b) -5,5
5<-(-5)+7=12, 5<12 is true for the first y<-x+7
So try Y<3x+11 with -5,5
5<3(-5)+11=-15+11=-4, so 5<-4 is false so go to next set
Try -5,-5
y<-5+7=2, -5<2 is true, now try 3x+11
y<3(-5)+11, -5<-4, this is true also.
So (c) is the only choice that is true for both inequalities.
