For the first equation: multiply top and bottom by √g, since g^1/2 = the square root of g.
t = (2d)/(g)^(1/2) *(√g/√g)
t√g = 2d
(t√g)/2 = d
For the second equation: square both sides to get rid of the square root sign on the right side of the equation, then divide the left side by 2g to isolate d.
(v)2=((2gd)^1/2))2
v2=2gd
v2/(2g) = d
