Is there a difference between foreach and map?

Ok this is more of a computer science question, than a question based on a particular language, but is there a difference between a map operation and a foreach operation? Or are they simply different names for the same thing?

In computer science and specifically with respect to the concepts of programming language, a map is a form of data structure that is used to store information in a specific format using its key-value pair fields. However, foreach is a looping statement in programming which is same as a for-loop or a while loop.
