The safest data base to identify pills is Pillbox.com which is part of nih.gov. The database helps identify tablets based on the color, shape, imprint, etc. It is trusted because it is run by the National Library of Medicine and National Institute of Health. The site covers all pills approved by the FDA. Thus, however, you may be unable to find a pill if it is alternative medicine or illegal, for example. Other sites available to help identify pills are www.drugs.com and www.rxlist.com.
