In adults, suhort-term use of neem is safe, while long-term use may harm the kidneys or liver; in small children, neem oil is toxic and can lead to death. Neem may also cause miscarrage, infertility, and low blood sugar.
So we know it can harm someone.
People are eager to say all sorts of herbal products have benefits, but very few have been scientifically confirmed. There has been a rise in ER admission to things like rashes and allergic reaction as people have started trying new one and more often.
Hipppocratic ethic say first do no harm. So I'd recommend against using it without first finding and consulting a professional with expertise on using it.
