Word problems (Singapore math)

Question

Tyrone had a bag of sugar weighing 36 kg. He packed 5/9 of it equally into 2 big bags and the rest of it equally into 8 small bags. How much more sugar was there in each big bag than in each small bag?

Total in big bags= (5/9)36= 20 kg in 2 bags ---> 20 : 2= 10 kg in each big bag

Total in small bags= 36- 20= 16 and he has 8 small bags ---> 16:8= 2 kg in each small bag

10 - 2= 8 kg more sugar was there in each big bag than in small bag
