Each is a keyword for multiplication. So you would multiply 6 times 5 3/4 (5.75). 6 times 5.75 equals 34.5 lbs. If you need help multiplying with fractions, you would change 6 to 6/1 and 5 3/4 into an improper fraction of 23/4 and multiply the numerators over multiply the denominators. So it will be 6 x 23/1 x 4 which is 138/4 and divide 138 by 4 and you will get 34.5
