I believe that you are asking if she buys a bunch of bananas that weigh 42 ounces, will she have enough (3 pounds).
We know that there are 16 ounces in a pound. So we multiply 3 x 16 to get 48. This means that we would need 48 ounces of bananas.
Tania only has 42 ounces, so she does not have enough bananas
