Finding domain of a rational function

r(x) = (1302x-871)(1175x+1324)/(867x+1076)(1465x-832)

The domain of a function are all of the "x" values for which the function has meaning. All real numbers have meaning for this function EXCEPT those values that make the denominator zero!

 

867x + 1076 = 0

867x  = -1076

x = -1.24106113

 

and

 

1465x - 832 = 0

1465x = 832

x = 0.56791
