First of all, "as least x times as many A as B" should be written as A ≥ xB
To make it easier, we can consider following phrase step by step.
1.There are twice as many apples as bananas.
It means there are twice the amount of apples in comparison to the amount of bananas. (A = 2B)
2.There are at least twice as many apples as bananas
It means there are twice or more apples in comparison to bananas. (A ≥ 2B)
3.There are at least x times as many A as B
It means (A ≥ xB)
PS: Please be aware of difference between "At least x time as many as" and "at least x time more than". The previous means (A ≥ xB); the later one means (A ≥ (x+1)B).
