The table has nine seats and since it is a conference table, you can draw it so that everyone faces each other. Try a circle or oval shape. Write the numbers inside the circle like numbers on a clock. Use the numbers 1-9 because the problem said there are 9 seats. Use the peoples names or first initials to draw out where they sit. Take it one clue at a time. The first clue says that Geoff has an empty seat on each side because no one is sitting by him. Keep going one clue at at time.
Hints!
There are somethings this problem expects you to just "know". Here is a helpful hint. Pretend you are each person and you are sitting at the table, which way is your left if you are looking at the middle of the table. You should consider each person looking at the center of the table.
Use a pencil with an eraser and paper or a whiteboard and marker. Having a way to erase easily will make it less frustrating when you need to move someone to a new seat.
Try using an X on the seats next to Geoff. They are supposed to be empty so leaving them blank might get confusing when you try to add more people around the table.
