Hi Touray, let x represent the amount of water in the barrel when it is full. To solve this question, solve the following equation:
2 / 3 * x - 60 = 1 / 9 * x
Collect terms:
2 / 3 * x - 1 / 9 * x = 60
Common denominator is 9:
6 / 9 * x - 1 / 9 * x = 60
5 / 9 * x = 60
x = 60 * (9 / 5)
x = 108
The barrel when full contains 108 liters.
