When you see the word "of" in a fraction problem, that's a clue that you need to multiply. For example, to find 1/3 of 9, you would multiply 1/3 x 9 to find 3.
Let's do a sample problem that's similar to the problem you're working on to show you the steps you would take to solve it.
If you wanted to find 1/3 of 2-4/5, you would solve it as follows:
1/3 x 2-4/5 =
1/3 x 14/5 =
14/15
