Greetings! Lets show how to put this in interval notation!
Notice that D in interval notation is (2, ∞) and E in interval notation is (-∞, 5].
So,
D ∩ E = {3, 4, 5} or (2, 5] in interval notation because 3, 4 and 5 show up in both sets. Then, we must follow the number line to set the union interval properly. Thus,
D ∪ E = (-∞, 2) ∪ (2, 5] ∪ [5, ∞)
