Function H=-14^2t+56t+60 represent the height of an object that is launch directly up in the air, where H represent the height in feet of the object and T represents the time in seconds.

a)what is this is the maximum height in feet of the object ?

b)how long will it take the object to reach its maximum height ?

Use the very first part of the quadratic formula, without the plus & minus square root part.

That's h= -b/2a = -56/-28 = 2 seconds for maximum height

plug 2 back into the original equation -14(2)^2 + 56(2) +60 = -56+112+60 = 116 feet for max height, reached in 2 seconds.
