The length of a rectangular pool is 5 meters less than twice the width. If the pool's perimeter is 110 meters, what is the width?

Use the formula:

p=2l+2w

110=2(2w-5)+2w

110=4w-10+2w

110=6w-10

+10 +10

120=6w

20=w

The width is 20. You can replace the w in the problem with x and add the m to the answer.
