I am not sure how to figure this out and to draw it on the graph.

x + 4y < 16

Change to slope-intercept form.

4y < -x + 16

y < (-1/4)x + 4

y-intercept: (0,4)

slope = -1/4

Plot the point. Then plot another point by going down 1 and 4 to the right from (0,4).

Connect your two points with a dotted line. Then, shade beneath the line.
